Prayer Requests

I’ve decided to start listing some prayer requests on Thursdays.  (I chose Thursdays, because today is Thurseday, and I decided to do this today)

I’m going to try this till the end of July and see how it goes… : )

Okay so here we go…..

1-Prayers of THANKS because the Lord has brought us through a very tight month with just enough, what a MIRACLE!

2-The women are having a hard time remembering that EVERYONE involved in this project is a volunteer.  Pray that the women understand the vast number of people standing behind them are all doing it voluntarily, and making scarfices of time an energy.  Some times a few of the women act “entitled” and unthankful.  This just makes Cara and I feel tired… (even though we know this is the norm for ministry work).

3-Pray for our dear Violetta.  She has been very sick and in the hospital.  Being sick in poverty  situations, is often needlessly fatal. Please PLEASE pray for her.  She has also lost her Mother, Father, and Step-Father, this year to TB, please pray for her poor broken heart.

Love

Raquel

I pray that you and Cara would keep your eyes on the source of your supply, that He would fill you, that you would pour out yourself for Him… May His Spirit remind you moment by moment that your giving is a beautiful offering for Him. May He remind you of ALL He gave to us, and how often we are unthankful and think we’re entitled to His gifts (and especially to what we don’t have). May His Spirit show you, through these ladies, that all humans are like them. Perhaps we may be a bit more sophisticated in our sin, but the heart issue is one and the same.

I pray for healing for Violetta–physically, spiritually, emotionally. I pray that her heart would be open, ready to receive that which our God so freely gives. I pray that He would satisfy her. I pray that He would bring peace and joy, in the midst of pain and sorrow. May His Spirit speak to her of His love and grace. May her cup overflow with His good gifts. May He thwart EVERY attack of the enemy. May He expose every lie.

I pray these things in the name Christ Jesus. Amen.

Don’t we all get ungrateful and feel entitled! I cringe when I see ads that tell me “I’m worth it” and “You deserve it”. It is too easy to believe! I will pray for Violetta. The hospital is one of the last places you want to be in the DR! I would love to catch up with you some day.
